This is an opportunity for an outstanding, motivated and enthusiastic Lacrosse player to join our successful and thriving Sports Department.  We are looking for a University or above standard lacrosse player who can deliver lacrosse training / coaching to a good standard. As 2017 Lacrosse National Champions, competing at the top level of performance sport is very important to us but we also pride ourselves on our great depth in team sport representation. With 18 lacrosse teams, we have one of the largest competitive girls’ sport structures in the Country and we pride ourselves on our pupils’ passion and commitment for their sport.

Benenden offers a huge variety of sport and exercise activities, with PE being compulsory throughout the School.  The successful candidate will teach lacrosse while supporting the PE Department by attending fixtures/trips and officiating matches. You will also support the Director of Sport with the running of the PE Department. Student mentoring, working as a teaching/administrative assistant within school.

You will be provided with onsite accommodation, and all food and utilities are provided as part of the role, and this is also available to you during the School holidays. The nature of a boarding community is that the hours are sometimes long but that the job satisfaction is tremendous.

Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. We were founded in 1923 and are situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 555 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with approximately 180 of those in the Sixth Form. Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two-year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace. We are an ambitious school, with recent developments including a state-of-the-art Science Centre and All-Weather Sports Pitch, and we are currently working to establish a new School Hall and Music School.

The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
