Benenden is one of the UK's leading independent schools and has educated more than 5,000 Benenden Seniors since it was founded in 1923. Benenden has made many enhancements to its education provision over the years – investing in facilities, broadening the curriculum, extending activities outside the classroom and developing its pastoral care.
The Complete Education enjoyed by Benenden pupils today has in large part been made possible by the generosity of support provided by the Benenden community. We thank everyone who has contributed to the School and we hope to inspire further support for our current initiatives to realise the Centenary Vision, our development plan which will take us to our milestone 100th anniversary in 2023.
Projects from the recent past have included the building of an All-Weather Pitch and Pavilion, additional on-site staff housing, our state-of-the-art Science Centre, the Clarke Study Centre and Eugenia Leung Library, the Theatre, the Fitness Centre and the Eco-Classroom.
In addition to these tangible and visible benefits, the School has raised valuable support for its Bursary Programme, which enables talented girls from local schools to benefit from a Benenden education, where financial considerations would otherwise have not made this possible.
It is no exaggeration to say that these bursaries have transformed the lives of the girls who have received them. Our Bursary recipients have, without exception, taken every opportunity to develop themselves and their talents and have grown in confidence whilst at Benenden as a result of the caring and supportive environment, where girls are encouraged to achieve their potential and aim high.
If you have any questions about the Vision or wish to find out how your gift can make a positive difference to the School please email Kyle Johnson, Development Director or Jo Winter, Deputy Development Director.
We are extremely grateful to all our donors and friends, and thank you for your continued support of the School.
