Launched in 2015 by Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, the Benenden School Centenary Vision is our development plan for enhancing the School in advance of our centenary year in 2023/24.
Underpinning the exciting curriculum and co-curricular developments at Benenden, which include the introduction of the Benenden Diploma, the Professional Skills Programme and a vast expansion of our outdoor education and partnership programmes, a series of capital projects are being undertaken.
The first phase of these – the construction of an All-Weather Pitch and Pavilion and eight Staff Houses – has been delivered.
The second phase, The Heart of Benenden campaign, is the flagship investment of the Centenary Vision, and has enabled us to create the spectacular new Centenary Hall and state-of-the-art Sir David K.P. Li Music School, opened in summer 2022. In advance of this project, we redeveloped the area of the School known as the West Wing.
As part of the Centenary Vision, it is also our wish to enable more talented local girls to access the education we offer through our Bursary Programme and for the School to build an endowment to support our aims years into the future.
