Benenden has won a top award recognising its partnership work.

The School has been announced as the winner of the Giving Something Back award in the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2022, celebrating and supporting the best in modern, holistic education.

The Giving Something Back award is granted in recognition of the School’s contributions to the wider community through various outreach, partnerships, volunteering and charity activities.

Importantly, it gives due credit to the outstanding effort Benenden students put into their community work through our Partnerships programme, including: working with local primary and prep schools and The John Wallis Church of England Academy, helping at Sissinghurst Castle, and socialising and spending time with elderly and disabled people in local care centres.

It also underlines Benenden’s wide-ranging outreach capacity, having recently invited pupils from many local schools for sports training, science experiences, guest speaker visits, and many other exciting and enriching activities.

It is a great honour for Benenden to be highlighted amongst so many other competing schools as an exceptional contributor to community life in the surrounding area. We hope that all of the students and staff who have had a hand in establishing Benenden as a centre of positive community impact are proud of the achievement.

Headmistress Samantha Price said: “We are honoured and delighted that the exceptional effort that our School community puts into its Partnerships and outreach activities has been recognised by this award.

“Benenden pupils show total commitment to the betterment of the wider community, and are eager to extend their advantages to others in numerous ways. We are so pleased that this has been noticed and rewarded above so many other tremendous Schools.”
