Two teams from Benenden took part in the final of the Winchester College Makyth Ventures Ignite Entrepreneurship Competition at the weekend.
We were delighted that both Benenden teams who entered made it to the final. Fifth Toni successfully pitched her idea: No. 4s Thrift Store, a pop-up store offering a tutoring service for GCSE Maths and English students combined with and funded by a clothing thrift store. Also in the Fifth, Yezel and Frinnie’s proposal to develop a new wireless therapeutic heat pad aimed at care home residents and people with chronic pain saw them make it through.
In the course of the final, ten teams had the opportunity to display and discuss their business ideas with the judges, visitors and other competitors. Four teams were then selected to present to the assembled audience. Huge congratulations to both teams for a fantastic effort and to Yezel and Frinnie for making it into the final four with their excellent presentation.
