Benenden’s top performing GCSE students have reflected on their exceptional results, as their year group has earned the School’s highest set of grades since 2016 excluding Covid-affected years.
Olivia Hall – who achieved 11 Level 9 grades and two Level 8s in subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Latin, Chinese, Geography and Maths – said: “I’m really happy with my results – I’m off out for dinner with my family this evening to celebrate.
“I’m really excited to start studying A Levels in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths, and would like to study Medicine at university.”
With a clean sweep of 11 Level 9 grades in subjects such as Maths, Further Maths, Geography, History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Chinese, Annabella Chau said: “I feel relieved about my results. My grades were better than I expected so I am very happy about them!”
Also achieving 11 Level 9 grades in French, Greek, Latin, History, English and English Literature among others, Dina Power said: “I’m very shocked and very happy. My results were a great thing to wake up to this morning. Some of my grades very much surprised me – in a good way!
“From September I’ll be studying Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Latin A Levels. In the future I’m considering studying Medicine or Veterinary Science, or maybe research in STEM – I haven’t narrowed it down much further than that yet!”
