Students Interview Lord Dunlop

Last night we were delighted to be joined by Lord Dunlop, who was interviewed by two Six Ones in the student society SocSoc. Sophie and Mirela explored a range of issues with Lord Dunlop, a Conservative peer and former Under Secretary of State for Scotland and Northern Ireland. This virtual event, which was open to pupils, parents, Seniors and former parents, covered subjects including Lord reform, devolution, Scottish independence, a united Ireland and the fallout from the Alex Salmond investigation. During the Q&A session Lord Dunlop was quizzed about reducing the voting age, whether Nicola Sturgeon should resign and the likelihood of a new Scottish referendum. The event came after Sophie and Mirela interviewed Jacob Rees-Mogg in December, and they have lined up an interview with American philosopher Jason Brennan later this month.
