Sixth Formers Celebrate Leavers’ Day

The School recently celebrated Leavers’ Day, in which the Six Two (Year 13) students take over for a day.

There was a lovely upbeat feel to the events, with the older students waking up the younger girls in the morning with dancing before a special breakfast of waffles and cream for the younger students and a ‘Champagne breakfast’ for the departing Sixth Formers.

The day took on a circus theme, with the leavers dressed as clowns as well as less traditional circus costumes including sharks and tigers!

During morning break students enjoyed subjecting staff in the stocks to wet sponges and at lunch time the Six Two held fun slip and slide runs.

After their traditional formal year group pictures, the Year 13 students got dressed up for a delicious dinner in the Science Atrium, hosted by the Headmistress, in which they enjoyed Asian cuisine and a spectacular ice cream platter for dessert.

The Sixth Form house staff all shared lovely memories of the students’ time at Benenden before attendees enjoyed a picture slideshow charting the year group’s highlights through the years.
