Last week the entire School took part in a charity walk in aid of the Sam West Foundation, raising over £600.
Here, Six Two pupil Saskia provides a rundown of the day.
“We had a route for the walk which each year group took part in, staggered half an hour apart so we could be Covid safe. The route had fun activity stalls at different points with games such as book charades, guess the book from one sentence and order the books from most words to least. This got everyone involved with the book day aspect of the walk as we used this walk as an opportunity to celebrate World Book Day. “Everyone came dressed up in their best costumes, a special mention must go to the Fourth and the Six Two for their efforts with costumes. Each walk started with a Zumba warm-up from Mrs Goulet which everyone really enjoyed, and it got everyone excited to get going on the walk. “Overall it was a really fun day, it was so nice to support such a wonderful cause and spread awareness for mental health. The walk was in support of the Sam West Foundation, which aims to promote the awareness, diagnosis and treatment of mental health issues affecting children and young adults and their families.”
