Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) participants from Benenden School volunteered 1,469 hours of service to the local community between April 2019 – March 2020.
In addition to this, DofE pupils also completed 1,222 hours of physical activity and spent 1,287 hours working towards a skill.
Barry Imms, DofE Manager, commended the girls on the impressive amount of volunteering undertaken and for continuing to achieve their DofE Awards during such turbulent times.
He commented: “During a challenging time it has been impressive that so many students have successfully achieved their Award, there has been a lot of lateral thought which has allowed students to progress with their Awards. Over the last five years 183 Benenden pupils have achieved a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, 126 Bronze and 57 Gold.”
