Lucy Lynch, England international lacrosse player, record caps holder and Teacher of PE and Housemistress at Benenden, has announced her retirement from international lacrosse.Six Two pupil Saskia Willetts, who is also an England LAX player and varsity team member, had this to say about Mrs Lynch: “Having an England Lacrosse legend with 100 caps as your coach is not something most people can say, but it is something students from Benenden can say with pride.”Mrs Lynch is one of the most influential people on my lacrosse career and watching her successes playing for England has over the years made my passion for lacrosse grow stronger. To have her as my coach is something pretty special.”I have been taught amazing skills and tricks by Mrs Lynch since I was 11, and she has always backed my abilities and given me so much confidence; that’s what makes her an all-round awesome coach and role model. I want to do better and train harder because of Mrs Lynch.”I am and always will be forever privileged to be able to say ‘I was coached by Lucy Lynch’.”
