Girls and staff took on the second Benenden Tough Mudder event in support of Cancer Research UK earlier this month.
After last year’s event the feedback was that the course needed to be tougher and muddier – this year the course definitely delivered!
The obstacles included tyre flipping, log drags, the stream run, the mud travellator, the pond run, cam net scramble and the lake run, with the 2.5km lap finished with the tyre fast feet obstacle.
Sixty-five brave staff and students signed up to run the course; little did they realise that the course was actually two laps!
Every runner ran the course in good humour and entered into the spirit of getting muddy, wet and tired for charity. As more and more runners completed the course the ground became boggier and muddier which only enhanced the course and make the running more enjoyable. A huge thank you to all of the staff that supported the event either marshalling or helping to provide obstacles.
The planning for next year’s tougher, wetter, muddier and rebranded event has already started…
