Following a strategic review, the School has decided that from September 2022, we will be allowing all pupils to spend Saturday nights away from School if they choose to.
The new provision will exclude three weekends each term – the first and final weekends for all pupils, and the first weekend after Half Term for Fourth (Year 7) to Upper Fifth (Year 10).
Saturday night leave will mirror the approach we take with Floating Exeats, when pupils leave School after their lessons and sporting commitments on a Saturday, returning on Sunday evening.
We are introducing this approach to allow families greater flexibility and to ensure consistency of approach across the Houses – even though in reality we do not anticipate a significant increase in the number of pupils choosing to go home on any given weekend.
