Benenden will be expanding the number of fully funded Day Boarding places available within the Sixth Form, for students starting in September 2022.
Building on the earlier successes of the School’s initiative to introduce a limited number of day boarders in September 2021, several supported Sixth Form places are on offer to students who specialise in STEM, Humanities, Languages or Music.
The STEM, Humanities, Languages or Music Awards 2022 will be subject to the normal means-tested bursary application process and present a wonderful opportunity for current Year 11 students local to the area.
Headmistress Samantha Price said: “Benenden’s Sixth Form serves as an ideal midpoint between school and university, so we are very pleased to be able to offer financial support to young pupils who we feel will revel in the array of opportunities on offer, both inside and outside the classroom.
“We are confident that our successful Scholars will be able to fully immerse themselves in all that Benenden has to offer and explore their interests in some of our most popular subjects .”
Alongside three, four or five A Level subjects of their choice, all of Benenden’s Sixth Formers participate in the School’s bespoke Professional Skills Programme. The unique course is an expertly designed and well-received introduction to the complexities of the employment market, dedicated to teaching students the skills they need to thrive in the workplace and life.
