Following the 2019 Nepal expedition, the total raised by Benenden students for the Gurkha Welfare Trust has now reached £1,682.88.

The trip saw 16 students embark on a 16 day expedition to Nepal which included a nine day trek to the Annapurna Base Camp, followed by charity visits to the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Bloom Nepal (an independent boarding school).

The money raised by Benenden students could cover nearly 12 months of a Welfare Pension for two veterans, or cover over half the costs of building materials for an earthquake resilient home.

The Gurkha Welfare Trust has expressed their gratitude and shared this thank you video.
