Benenden was recently delighted to welcome more than 450 children from 13 local schools to attend three concerts performed by Kidenza.
Kidenza is an orchestra which specialises in making classical music accessible to those who might not be familiar, or may not have had an opportunity to see it performed live before.
The concerts were organised as part of Benenden’s award-winning Partnerships Programme, which supplements the many volunteering opportunities available to Benenden students with a range of outreach activities open to local schools. After enjoying an hour’s music, ranging from Mozart to Pirates of the Caribbean, the children were all treated to a Benenden brownie. It was a great pleasure for the Partnership and Music departments to welcome so many children to the new Hall, and to see how enthused they were by both the music and their surroundings.
