Benenden Goes Wild for World Book Day

Benenden students and staff fully embraced their love of the literary on World Book Day, with a whole host of colourful costumes popping up around the School site. With wizards, aliens, dinosaurs and even a bed in attendance, books from Harry Potter and Of Mice and Men to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the Midnight Gang were represented. Ever the performers, the Six Twos (Year 13s) meanwhile came dressed as One Hundred and One Dalmatians, led by Head Girl Isla as an ice-cold Cruella De Vil.In the evening, the Fourths were tasked with writing a short play and performing it in the Fiction Library. The plays were very entertaining and in addition to the Library staff, were enjoyed by some Sixth Form students who popped in to show their support. The evening ended with hot chocolate and a free book which each student was invited to take away.
