On Tuesday our Six Two Biologists and Psychologists spent the day in a series of workshops comprising a one-day introductory tutorial in neuroscience. The day was led by Dr Guy Sutton, who is Director of Medical Biology Interactive and Honorary (Consultant) Assistant Professor at the Division of Psychiatry, University of Nottingham Medical School. Sessions covered a wide range of neuroscience areas, including nerve cells and brain function, gene functions, psychiatric disorders and functional neuroanatomy. As ever, the brain dissection session was particularly exciting for the girls! It was a fascinating day and all those who attended learnt a great deal.
