Author Visits Benenden to Talk Writing and Running

Manjeet Mann – author, actor and founder of the non-profit organisation Run the World – recently visited Benenden to talk to students about her work.

Manjeet spoke about her singlehanded efforts to promote creativity and non-competitive sport among women in communities, through writing workshops and organised exercise with Run the World.

The author also discussed the inspiration and process behind her novels The Crossing and Run Rebel, inviting students to try out a range of writing exercises that she employs herself when planning a new project.

Manjeet also took the time to answer many questions on her writing, including the time she spends researching and interviewing, and read from her books and some anonymous case-studies from her non-profit work.
