Drama Scholars from Lower Fifth (Year 9), Fifth (Year 10) and Six One (Year 12) delighted audiences with their end-of-year adaptation of Emilia by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm.Telling the story of Emilia Bossano – England’s first female professional poet, who has been suspected to be the “Dark Lady” of Shakespeare’s sonnets – the play features pin-sharp dialogue and colourful period design.
The Scholars’ animated and heartfelt performances were entertaining and emotive in equal measure, and they were delighted to give well-received performances to students, parents, staff and other visitors.
