Leaving a  Legacy

As we are a registered charity, legacy gifts to the School can be free of Inheritance Tax and can include money, land and buildings or stocks and shares.

The impact of your gift could be far reaching, assistant current and future generations to benefit from a Benenden education, enhancing School facilities and helping us to ensure we retain our status as one of the leading girls’ schools in the UK.

The Benenden Angel:
Honouring the Past, Building the Future

The Benenden Angel was the creation of Miss Bird, one of the School’s three Founders. Her ‘Angel Sermons’ formed a series of fables depicting The Benenden Angel as the Founders’ guiding spirit and left a profound impression on generations of Benenden Seniors.

Today’s Benenden Angels are a growing number of people including Seniors, former Staff and Parents who are helping to support Benenden in the future by making a bequest to Benenden School in their Will. Legacy donations received in the past have enabled the School to construct numerous vital buildings and award a significant number of fully funded bursary places.
