Benenden School seeks to appoint the following position to provide Administration support to our busy Drama Department.

The successful candidate will be a highly capable administrator who is able to adapt and manage the busy and varied nature of the Drama Department. They must have the ability to work confidently with a broad range of personalities within the staff and student bodies, and to communicate effectively with them both in person and via email. A highly professional approach to each task is required.

Working closely with the Director of Drama, the Drama Administrator will ensure the department plans ahead towards a range of events and deadlines, including the LAMDA and Trinity exams. The ability to show initiative and to lead particular projects or tasks is essential, as is competence across Microsoft platforms and other systems such as iSams and SOCS. Accuracy and attention to detail are fundamental qualities required for this role. 

This is a part time position working two days a week, 9.00am-3.00pm term time, with two days at the beginning and end of each term.

Benenden is one of the leading boarding schools in Britain. Founded in 1923, the School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent. There are 550 students in the school, aged 11-18. The majority of Benenden students are boarders, while the School is also building to include 50 day boarders.

Benenden is at the forefront of girls’ education in the UK, with recent innovations including the Benenden Diploma, a bespoke curriculum for our youngest two year groups, and the Professional Skills Programme, teaching the Sixth Form skills for the workplace.

Meals are provided to staff whilst on duty. The School’s leisure facilities, including a fitness gym and swimming pool are available for staff to use.
