Be the Change
Benenden awards bursaries from 10% up to 110% of fees, so that recipients can experience all aspects of a Benenden education. The bursaries that are funded as part of Be the Change are fully-funded awards for either 100% or 110% of School fees, with the additional funds covering School uniforms, educational trips and other ongoing learning and living expenses.
An initial three-year fundraising campaign seeks to triple the number of Benenden’s fully-funded bursary places. We are currently halfway to our fundraising target so that by the end of the School’s centenary year we will have 24 bursary funded students in the School at any given time: 24 by ’24.
These bursaries are fully means-tested, benefitting students who would not otherwise be able to afford an education at Benenden and for whom such support will be truly transformative.
Find out moreHow do we Identify Bursary Recipients?
Our bursary students come from either state or grammar schools. Some attended local schools and live in communities not dissimilar to Benenden. Others hail from further afield and a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. All of our bursary students earn their places at Benenden by passing entrance exams and demonstrating they have the attitude and aptitude to flourish at our School, and we are proud and grateful that every bursary pupil we welcome to Benenden enriches School life with their unique experiences.
Be the Change: Personal stories
Giving to Be the Change
At the start of the centenary year, Be the Change is halfway to its campaign target to raise £5million. Its success will be dependent upon the generosity of our entire community. Donations of all values are gratefully received and will quite literally change lives.
If you would like to discuss a possible gift or would like more information, please contact Kyle Johnson.
Giving Options
We are inviting donations of 10 percent of fees as a regular or one-off gift, or £50 per month a suggested timeframe of 60 months to match the average Bursary Recipient’s time at school.
