Continuity of Education Allowance
Benenden is committed to supporting families who are in receipt of the UK government Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) for Service or Diplomatic Children. We are therefore pleased to offer these families additional financial support meaning that they will be required to pay 10% of the fee, plus the CEA allowance amount. The balance of the termly fee amount will be met by the School.

We appreciate that a stable and supportive environment is vital for military and diplomatic families and we have many former military personnel on our staff. We are a full boarding school where at least 65% of our students stay in school on a Saturday night and many are boarders whose families are based overseas.
Our warm and homely environment and excellent pastoral care creates a happy and caring culture. This is complemented by an outstanding academic education and a co-curricular offering that includes a full schedule of activities before, during and after school as well as at weekends. Benenden is also one of the few girls’ schools to have a CCF contingent.
With delicious, nutritious food provided 7 days a week by our catering team, a large proportion of staff living onsite and top notch facilities, Benenden provides a vibrant and busy community. Refurbished dorms and a dedicated Boarding House for our youngest pupils in Years 7 and 8 (Fourths and Upper Fourths) ensure students have the security and stability of a home from home.

Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) Award
Families who are in receipt of the UK government Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) for Service or Diplomatic Children may seek additional financial support from Benenden, paying 10% of Benenden boarding fees plus the CEA allowance amount. The balance of the termly fee amount will be met by the School. This additional support is available to all families in receipt of the CEA and is not means-tested. Entry and Assessments
Normal entry is in September at 11+, 12+ or 13+, as a result of the ISEB Common Pre-test or through Benenden’s own Entrance or Scholarship examinations. In addition, there is also a small 14+ and 16+ competitive entry into Year 10 and the Sixth Form.
