Arriving at Benenden

Benenden School is located in the village of Benenden, near Cranbrook in Kent. The map below shows our location.

By rail

The nearest rail station is Staplehurst, an hour from London on the line which serves Ashford, Canterbury and Ramsgate. The School will be pleased to organise a taxi to bring you to Benenden from the station, approximately a 20-minute journey. Taxis need to be booked well in advance and are not available at the station.

By road

The School postcode is TN17 4AA.

Benenden is easily accessible from the M25 (leave for the A21 at Junction 5, signposted Hastings) and the M20 (leave at Junction 6 for Maidstone).

Benenden operates a one-way system on its site. If you accidentally find yourself at the rear gate, those barriers will not permit you to enter and you will need to turn right out of the rear entrance and follow the road, New Pond Road, to the crossroads where you should turn right again. In approximately 400 metres you will find the School entrance on your right.

On arrival at the School, please press the intercom to inform School Office of your arrival. Please note the speed restrictions on site and, having turned left at the top of the drive, park on the gravel in front of the main building. Designated disabled parking spaces are available close to the main entrance.

At the main entrance (a ramp is available for visitors with mobility issues) please ring the bell by the main door, where School Office will meet you and sign you in.
