In addition to the strong academic and co-curricular offer, the Complete Education at Benenden is completed by the Personal and Professional Development – which, put simply, covers those elements which develop the girls as individuals.
We provide pupils with the skills they need to thrive in the modern world, both personally and professionally.
This includes PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) lessons and personal development skills sessions, which focus on issues including online safety, study skills, positive mental wellbeing, sexual consent and navigating the party culture.
Girls attend morning Prayers three to four times a week as well as regular whole school services, at which the school community is encouraged to be considerate, compassionate and courteous.
Form Order is a weekly opportunity for girls in the lower school to discuss issues, such as friendships, social hierarchy and growing up, in a smaller forum.
The Professional Skills Programme offers Sixth Formers skills for the workplace, such as producing marketing plans and interview techniques, as well as practical skills for thriving in life, including wiring a plug, changing a tyre and hanging shelves.
Our Lecture Programme offers pupils insight into an array of different industries from experts and inspirational speakers.
Girls are able to use their knowledge from this development programme across all aspects of their Benenden lives, applying it in areas of boarding, academic and co-curricular.
