Works under maiden name, Anne Simpson, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Started with Price Waterhouse in 1981 planning to qualify as a chartered accountant and then move on. Thirty five years later (twenty three years as a partner) Anne is still at PwC. For the majority of my career has worked in the banking sector, initially as an auditor. The last seven years leading the Banking Regulatory Practice which works with clients and regulators on difficult regulatory matters. Also spent six years in the PwC’s accounting technical team advising client teams on technical issues. Sits on PwC Supervisory Board which is the governance body for PwC UK. Member of Finance Committee.
